Educational leaders and teachers face critical decisions every day that shape the experiences and outcomes of learners. In an era of increasing data availability, the ability to collect, analyse, and act on data is a key competency for improving teaching, learning, and institutional performance.
This course equips educators and administrators with the skills and tools to make informed, evidence-based decisions using data. Participants will explore how to gather meaningful data, interpret it accurately, and translate insights into actions that enhance student achievement, equity, and operational effectiveness.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the principles and benefits of data-driven decision making (DDDM) in education.
- Identify relevant types of educational data and their appropriate uses.
- Use data to monitor student progress and inform instructional practices.
- Evaluate programs and initiatives based on evidence.
- Develop a culture of data use and collaboration among staff.
- Communicate data insights effectively to stakeholders.
This course is ideal for:
- School principals and leadership teams.
- Teachers and faculty members.
- District and ministry-level education administrators.
- Academic coordinators and instructional coaches.
